Performance Category Requirements

Preschool - Grade 3

Prepare one or more pieces not exceeding a 4 minute performance.

Grade 4 - 6

Prepare two or more contrasting sections/movements/solos not exceeding a total of a 5 minute performance (Up to 2 minutes for voice)

Grade 7 - 8

Prepare two or more contrasting sections/movements/solos not exceeding a total of a 7 minute performance (Up to 3 minutes for voice)

Grade 9 - 10

Prepare two or more contrasting sections/movements/solos not exceeding a total of a 10 minute performance

Grade 11 - 12

Prepare two or more contrasting sections/movements/solos not exceeding a total of a 12 minute performance

Young Artist Ages 16- 25

Prepare three or more contrasting sections/movements/solos from professional-level piece(s) not exceeding a total of a 15 minute performance

Adult Amateur Musicians 25+

Prepare two contrasting sections/movements/solos not exceeding a total of a 10-minute performance.

Payment Options: To secure your participation, payment must be received no later than April 24th, 2026. Payment may be made by check or credit card.(Required)

Once you register, our Registrar will email you an invoice. Your registration is not considered complete until the invoice has been paid. After payment is received, you will be sent a confirmation of payment and registration.

Will you need an accompanist?(Required)

There is an additional cost of $35 if you require us to provide an accompanist.

Closed Monday, February 23rd, due to winter weather. School re-opens on Tuesday the 24th for make-up classes only. NHYE rehearsals cancelled. Happy Winter Break!
