Music Therapy and Related Experience

Shannon founded the Music Therapy Program at the Manchester Community Music School in 2006.  She has an extensive background working with children ages birth-adult with a variety of diagnoses in both school and community-based settings.  She has worked with individuals who are deaf, blind, deaf/blind, on the Autism Spectrum, have severe sensory integration disorders, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy and others.  Shannon has participated in advanced music therapy trainings, including Neurologic Music Therapy and Sprouting Melodies, a developmental approach to music for children and their caregivers.
