Maureen Young, MT-BC, French horn

Education

Ms. Young began her formal music education at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where she received her Artist’s Diploma in French Horn Performance. After this, she received her degree in Music Therapy from Florida State University.

Music Therapy and Related Experience

Ms. Young has experience with children ages 3-22 with a variety of diagnoses and multiple disabilities in school settings. She has helped facilitate a Performing Arts Group for high-schoolers with disabilities and has worked with adults with disabilities in a residential setting. Most recently, Ms. Young worked as a music therapist and service coordinator for an Early Intervention program, working with children ages 0-3 who have a developmental delay, and their families.
