Dr. Jenni Cook will use the somatic discipline Body Mapping to achieve facility in singing and artistry. Additionally, she will provide preparation tips for practice and performance.
Jenni Cook received her Bachelor of Music degree from Bradley University and her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the University of Illinois. Prior to her appointment as associate professor of music at the University of New Hampshire, Cook served as adjunct voice faculty at Millikin University, Eureka College, and Bradley University. Cook also enjoys an active performing career and has sung operas, oratorios, and recitals across the United States and abroad in Germany, Austria, and Brazil. In March of 2015, she will give recitals of music for flute and voice in London, England and the National Welsh Museum in Cardiff, Wales with UNH colleague Peggy Vagts. Cook has recorded two CDs: Six Women and Live at McLean Chapel. Her forthcoming CD of Brazilian Art Song, Terra E Granito, will be available late 2015. She lives in Nottingham, NH, with her husband, Eric, and their two children, Ross and Lili.
