Congratulations, Caroline Desmarais!

Congratulations, Caroline Desmarais!

Congratulations to Caroline Desmarais on taking second place in the lower high school division of the Granite State NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) Music Theater Competition on October 28, 2017.

Participants are required to present three music theater songs of contrasting styles. They are judged on vocal quality and technique, diction, musical accuracy, and overall presentation.  As one of eleven singers in a very competitive field, Caroline received scores in the high 90’s for her renditions of “I Speak Six Languages: from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, “The Simple Joys of Maidenhood” from Camelot, and “Boy Wanted” from My One and Only. The competition judges commented especially on the vitality of her performance and her acting ability.

Caroline has been studying with voice instructor Donna Lombardo at the Manchester Community Music School since 2012.
