Teaching Philosophy:

I believe music is in all of us, and nothing is more important than creating a safe, encouraging and inclusive environment where students can learn to express themselves through music. After all, it is the most powerful and universal language in the world.

Biography:

Winner of fiddle contests and 2018 Berklee College of Music graduate and Presidential Scholar, Audrey Budington has played violin since she was four. Classically trained, she is fluent in fiddle, rock, and funk styles, and she is known for her creative compositions. She has taught beginner violin and various levels of fiddle playing to students of all ages for over six years and is Suzuki certified in Book 1.

Audrey has amassed a performing/session work resume like no other. She was selected by Grammy award-winning arranger and record producer Rob Lewis to play in a house band for the TV show pilot “Legendary.” She has shared the stage with such luminaries as Rosanne Cash and Esperanza Spalding, opened for Black Violin and was a guest artist for Darlingside. Audrey also appears on albums and singles by João Brocanelli, Meryl Rudy, and Stephen Smith.

Currently she is working on an EP of her own music and is very excited to release her work!
