Adult Chamber Music Program for Wind players and more

Description: Harmonie music is the historical term for the orchestra wind ‘band’ that formed on the 18c. They became the ‘music for hire’ groups of the aristocrats. This became the inspiration for all of the Wind Serenades. An adult chamber music program for winds open to instrumentalists of all levels. Ensembles will be grouped according to ability and will rehearse and perform The Master works written for Harmonie Ensembles (sextets to 13 instruments).

Open to: Oboes, Clarinets, Bassoons, French horns, Flutes, Piano

Music School Flute Choir

Description: “Spring is in the Air” is the theme for this session flute choir at the Music School! Join Aubrie Dionne in making musical connections, strengthen playing skills and exploring repertoire including Birdsong by Davis, Last Spring by Grieg, and Awakening by Frantzen.

General Chamber Groups

Description: Playing in a chamber ensemble is a very motivating experience for players of all ages. Chamber ensembles offer students a unique opportunity to develop musicianship and improve playing skills in small group setting. Ensembles will be arranged with students of like levels of ability and ages. Rehearsals will be scheduled according to student and teacher availability, much like private lessons.

Open to all, regardless of age, instrument, or performing ability. A placement audition is required and can be arranged by contacting the the Music School’s office. For the placement auditions, students will play a selection of their choice.  All students will sight read during the audition.  Auditions are 15 minutes in length.
