each arts discipline, taught by a specialized instructor. The children are grouped by age and together they discover the joys of artistic expression. The music session of this class helps children discover their singing voice and develop a sense of rhythm through the use of rhythm instruments, movement, and age appropriate songs. They will also be introduced to brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments of the orchestra. The movement class encourages and supports natural, age-appropriate gross motor and social development through both creative and structured movement and dance activities. While individual artistic expression is always a focus, it is also a goal to nurture children’s abilities to work with peers through partnering and small group activities. The art session begins with a story, which is transformed into an art project. Self-expression is strongly encouraged.
