Lessons, Classes, Ensembles, Camps

For almost thirty years the Manchester Community Music School has helped compose the musical story of our community through the most in-depth music education program in the region, a substantive financial aid program, and meaningful community collaborations and partnerships.

The Music School employs 50 dedicated and talented faculty members whose commitment to music education and excellent performance extends from their private students to community outreach to performing free concerts throughout the region.

Over 1,200 students a year participate in our activities through a wide array of programs including music lessons and ensembles for all ages. Music School programs include Suzuki violin, piano and flute programs, early childhood classes, a music technology lab and recording studio, a music therapy program, four orchestras, a jazz ensemble, a wind ensemble, a concert band, a community band, after-school programs and summer music camps.  Music School students range in age from 6 months to 92 years young. Students attend the school from 54 New Hampshire communities.

In order to serve our changing population, the Music School is developing a series of programs targeted toward lifelong learners and the over 55 community. This will include an Opera Speaks series in collaboration with the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord, adult choruses and classes at assisted living facilities, music therapy and more.  In 2012 we will also be introducing more social music lessons and experiences for the young professional crowd.

The Music School is the voice for music and music education in Southern New Hampshire. We are proud of our vibrant community of students, families, faculty and supporters.  Every day we are changing lives through the power of learning, making and sharing music.
